I've been the Crafty Lady for 28 years. After hosting an open house to friends and neighbors in 1979, and setting up a little display in my family-room ( I sold over $500.00 that week-end). I was convinced, "I can do this!" With my husband Rich 100% behind me, giving me all the money I needed for supplies the first year I was on my way. Later we both hosted, in our home, in Canyon Country, California, a Boutique twice a year with 40-50 other crafters. Our customers waited in line to get in. We all enjoyed it and I'm still in contact today with many customers I met in the beginning shows. Then my husband and I took a week-end trip to a car show in Kernville, California and bought a home that week-end, and with-in 1 1/2 years moved our businesses here where we reside today. Its a quaint little town of 2,000 people, many retired folks. Its great, we have a variety of things to do like fishing, water sports, camping, snow skiing, and river activities, etc... are all minutes away from us.
